Senior picture season is coming soon! As the class of 2014 prepares to graduate, the class of 2015 starts their search for the right senior picture photographer for this epic experience.
If you're exploring your senior picture options, here are a few q&a's that may help you make sense of things...
Q: When do most seniors get their senior pictures taken anyway?
A: Since yearbook deadlines are generally in the fall (check with your school, but they usually fall between October and December of the given year), most seniors do their sessions in the summer or fall. July through October are the most popular months. Though if you missed your yearbook deadline and still want to have amazing images done during your senior year, we often see a few more seniors in the spring before graduation.
Q: How many outfits do high school seniors generally shoot in?
A: Most seniors will shoot in 2-4 outfits. Guys tend to be ok with the 1 or 2 looks, gals prefer to do 3-4. But it's really up to you. Peek
here for some inspiring senior picture fashion ideas.
Q: With digital cameras so readily available, why do people even do senior pictures anymore?
A: It's true, snapshots abound, and almost every digital device gives us the chance to take more and more images. But if you're being honest, how many of those images end up actually in print? Senior pictures are a long-withstanding experience for a reason -- short of wedding pictures, they are the only mainstream professional photo experience of an adult's life. A rite of passage. And given the right photographer, an experience that is translated into stunning prints (with digital images as accents) that become part of your history, even as technology changes.
